3D printer for schools – laboratories of the future
Laboratories of the Future is the largest-ever support program for schools in modern education. PLN 1 billion will go to primary schools across the country to purchase equipment that helps develop future competencies.
Laboratories of the Future is a government initiative financed by the COVID-19 Countermeasure Fund and implementing one of the "Polish Order" demands. As part of this project, primary schools throughout Poland will receive funds to purchase equipment to help students develop competencies such as cooperation, creativity, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of new technologies.
The recruitment of applications for schools and local governments running them occurs from October 8 to November 15.

Under the Future Laboratories program, school governing bodies can receive up to:
- PLN 30,000 - in the case of schools with up to 100 students (there are 5,168 of them and 292,457 students);
- PLN 60,000 - for schools with 101 to 200 students (there are 3,492 of them and 495,017 students);
- PLN 70,000 - for schools with 201 to 234 students (there are 659 of them and 142,467 students);
- PLN 300 per student - in the case of schools with 235 students or more (there are 4,678 of them, and 2,131,451 students study there).
This means that all schools in Poland will receive at least PLN 300 per student. Over 3 million students out of 15,000 will benefit from the initiative. schools."
As part of the above funds, schools will be equipped with devices such as 3D printers, a slicer, and filaments that support them, as well as microcontrollers, soldering stations for microcontrollers, cameras, lighting, gimbals, and microphones, i.e., equipment for recording and presenting students' achievements.
Notably, the subsidy is 100% of the value of the purchased equipment, so schools do not have to reserve their funds to purchase the devices mentioned above.
It is worth registering for the program as soon as possible because, according to the Ministry of Education and Science, basic equipment with the so-called equipment catalog will be mandatory in every school starting September 1, 2022.
